About
We started with a question most agencies never ask.
What actually changes in an organisation after the work is done? Everything we build, every dashboard, every brand identity, every report, is designed with that question as the measure of success.
Our story
A conviction, not a coincidence
Ventranex Group was founded on a frustration. Too many organisations were being sold services when what they needed was solutions. A consultant would deliver a report and move on. An agency would launch a website and go silent. The client was left with an output but not necessarily with a better outcome.
We built Ventranex Group around the opposite approach. Every engagement starts with a problem definition, not a service selection. We work backward from what needs to change in your organisation and build the exact tools, systems, and assets that get you there. Nothing more, nothing less.
We are based in South Africa and work remotely with clients across the world. We operate as a boutique firm deliberately, keeping teams small so that the relationship you build at the start of an engagement is the same relationship that sees the work through to the end.
Our approach
We start with your problem, not our portfolio.
Before we recommend a single service, we want to understand what is not working and what success looks like when it is fixed. That conversation takes 30 to 45 minutes and costs nothing. From that point we design an engagement around your specific situation.
We do not run lengthy discovery phases. Most organisations have been through enough consultants to know that a six-week discovery process is often a way of delaying the real work. We start building in week one.
Every engagement includes a defined success measure agreed at the start, regular checkpoints where progress is reviewed against that measure, and a final review that documents what changed and what the numbers show.
“Every engagement is led by someone senior, and every deliverable is held to a standard we are willing to put our name to.”
How we work
Four principles
These are not aspirations. They are the terms on which we take on work.
Outcome over output
We measure success by what changes in your organisation, not what we hand over. Every engagement starts with an agreed definition of success.
Brevity in communication
Reports, briefings, and updates are written to be read, not filed. We do not produce documents that require a guide to interpret.
Continuity of service
You work with the same people throughout, from scoping to delivery. There is no handover to a junior team once the contract is signed.
Built-in review
Every engagement includes defined checkpoints. Nothing is finalised without client review, and nothing ships without client sign-off.
Case studies
Real problems. Real solutions. Real numbers.
Every engagement below started with a specific organisational problem. The metrics below are what changed as a result.
Financial services firm, Johannesburg
6 months, ongoing
Context
The client was producing quarterly donor reports manually, pulling data from multiple disconnected systems. Reports were delayed, prone to error, and required two full days of staff time each cycle.
Approach
We audited the existing data sources, designed a unified data model, and built a Power BI dashboard fed by automated data pulls. We also established a monthly retainer for report production and data quality checks.
Reduction in reporting time
Donor compliance achieved
Saved per reporting cycle
Health NGO, Pretoria
3-month implementation
Context
The organisation was running programmes across three provinces with no standardised data collection method. Field staff recorded data on paper, and programme managers had no real-time visibility into activity levels or outcomes.
Approach
We designed a monitoring and evaluation framework aligned to the programme logic, built KoBoToolbox forms for field data collection, and connected submissions to a Power BI dashboard visible to programme managers in real time.
Provinces connected in real time
Paper-based data processes remaining
From design to field deployment
Professional services firm, Cape Town
Once-off project
Context
A newly established professional services firm needed a complete market-ready identity before a series of client meetings. They had four weeks before the first meeting and no existing brand assets.
Approach
We ran a compressed discovery process in week one, delivered the brand identity system in week two, built and launched the website in week three, and set up tracking, SEO foundations, and social profiles in week four.
To full market launch
Integrated engagement from scoping to launch
Deliverables on time
Work with us
Tell us what is not working.
We take on a limited number of engagements at a time so that every client gets the attention the work requires. If you have a problem you are trying to solve, the earlier we talk the better. The first conversation is free, focused, and without obligation.
